This property in Baildon recently benefited from the installation of a new Equinox solid tiled conservatory roof replacement. Having an existing polycarbonate roof, the room was too hot in summer and too cold to use in the winter months. The new conservatory roof has updated the appearance of the conservatory and will ensure our customer gets better use out of their conservatory all year round.
We used an Equinox system is an aluminium, structurally engineered, lightweight system which totally replaces the existing roof panels. Our customer chose Tapco roof tiles in pewter grey to complement and blend in with the main building.
After installing the lightweight Tapco tiles, we internally insulated the conservatory to ensure it conforms with current Part L building regulations.
The installation of modern, energy-efficient, LED lighting updated the interior and we skim plaster finished the internal ceiling ready for the customer to decorate.
It’s estimated that a solid tiled conservatory roof is up 15 times better at keeping heat in than an old polycarbonate or glass alternative. The highly efficient Equinox conservatory roof system we use is among the most effective on the market as it has a u-value of just 0.15. That’s around 10 times more energy efficient than an A-rated double-glazed window!
