The Clock Tower in Menston is a Grade II listed gem, and we’ve had the privilege of carrying out essential roofing maintenance over a four month period.

Project Overview

Kieran and his team have had a busy Spring carrying out commercial roofing maintenance in the vicinity of Menston. The Clock Tower at High Royds was in need of extensive roofing maintenance, but the project is finally finished!

The Works

The favourable weather allowed the team to make great progress and as we wrapped up, we bid farewell to this beautiful Grade 2 listed building and its wonderful residents. It was a pleasure working here.

History of The Clock Tower, High Royds, Menston

The clock tower at High Royds in Menston, originally part of the West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum (later High Royds Hospital), has a rich history. It served as a water tower and then as the administrative center, featuring a clock made by Potts & Sons, commissioned by Lord Grimthorpe in 1847. After the hospital closed in 2003, the site was redeveloped for housing, with the clock tower remaining a standout feature.
