This property in Steeton steeped in history and was long associated with the Beaumont family, who owned it for generations. Eventually, maintenance costs became prohibitive, leading to its dismantling and abandonment. After WWII, the house was demolished for open-cast mining. The area was later restored, though the original woodland was replaced with spruce trees. Today the property has been largely been restore and remnants of a walled garden remain.
