Case Study: Heritage Re-roofing with modern insulation

This terraced property we recently worked on in Littleborough has historical roots and is currently a Grade 2 listed building. The roof was in a pretty poor condition and had very little insulation. Any work carried out had to be sympathetic and in keeping with its listed heritage. Our Eco-roof insulated roofing system was the perfect choice for such a heritage re-roofing project.

Project Overview

Slates recycled where possible with 3 tonne being replaced with salvaged slate and laid to BS5534 standards
TLX Gold, Eco-roof thermal blanket laid across the existing rafters secured with battens giving a U-value of 0.4.
New battens installed to BS5534.
Ridge tiles re-bedded in heritage lime mortar.
Lead recycled where possible, replacing all defective lead which was found.
Fully compliant with current Part L of the Building Regulations
10 year Insurance backed guarantee through the Confederation of Roofing Contractors
